GPS Tracking and Driver Behaviour Analysis

What is included in the tracking?

The system we discussed is a web based system that enables you to track and monitor any vehicle live at any time, from any computer or mobile. It also allows you to view historical information along with scheduled reports, alarms and detailed driver behaviour information. Quartix are a well-established, UK based vehicle tracking provider and have been recognised by a number of prestigious business and product awards, including the Fleet News Reader Recommended Award for 5 years running.

System features

* Please see the attached documents “Quartix Tracking System – System Features and Screenshots” for detailed information.

Live Tracking

A major feature of the solution is that it requires no software, maps or special configuration settings to run. This means that you can view the position of all of your vehicles in real-time, anytime, from any PC connected to the internet, just by logging on to the web-site using your username and password details. As there are no restrictions on how many PC’s you use for the system, and there are no additional charges for software or map licences, you can use as many users and displays as you need around your business. You can also provide access to the system for key customers, so that they can be kept updated on progress. Easy-to-use, intuitive navigation tools and links are built into the user interface, making this system one of the most reliable and user-friendly systems available.

Mobile Application

Access is also available from a mobile app which enables users to view the real-time location of their vehicles and use the core features of the system whilst on the move. The app is free to download and can be used by all customers. The app provides a summary of all the vehicles and their present locations, viewable in text or map format. Any vehicle can be selected and followed, allowing the map screen to be updated automatically as the vehicle moves. Trip Data is also available showing the trips carried out on any day over the previous 6 months. The app is available to Apple, Android and Windows users.

Historical Reporting

Ease-of-use is the key to delivering cost benefits from a tracking system. The scheduled Excel workbooks provide a detailed sheet for each day of the week for each vehicle, together with a summary sheet for the week as a whole. It is e-mailed to you automatically. Key management information covered by Excel reports includes: mileage, maximum speeds, shift times, driving time and time spent at each site. Reports are a valuable tool for the management of your of your fleet and employees. I have attached an example of a weekly report for your consideration.

Driver Behaviour – League tables and Speeding Alerts

Compare driver behaviour scores across your entire fleet. Each driver is given a score based on their driving profile. Those who are taking too much risk will stand out on the Driver League Table in red. The best drivers will appear in green, and those in between will be amber. The reports allows you to see acceleration and braking, and a simple click will take you to the exact location on Google maps where the incident took place, allowing you to investigate further. Monitoring and improving driving style can save up to 15% in fuel savings and reduce risk of accident and injury. Training your staff to drive safely is easy, with a range of reports, including speed distribution and acceleration / braking profiles, give you all the data you need to influence and encourage safe, economical driving behaviour.

Real Time Alarms

The system offers complete flexibility in setting up real-time alarms to inform you of unauthorised vehicle movements and other exceptions. The system allows you to set up areas of interest together with the time-based rules of when vehicles should be inside or outside each zone. For example, text or email alerts can notify you if one of your vehicles is used outside pre-set working hours or if an employee returns home from site during the working day. Alerts can be set for many things include speed offences and location arrival/departure.
